Privacy

Walimah Afrah helps couples send wedding invitations and collect RSVPs. This page explains what we keep, why, and who can see it. We do not sell personal data and we do not show ads.

What hosts give us

  • Your name, email and password (the password is stored only as a secure hash).
  • Wedding details: names, dates, events, venues, contact details for the couple and any wording you write.
  • Wedding card photos or files you upload.
  • Your guest list: household names, guest names, phone numbers, email addresses and notes you add.

Guests

If you received an invitation, the couple added your name and, where they chose to, your phone number or email. When you reply we keep your RSVP: who is coming to each event, adult and child counts, food preference and any message you write.

Dietary requirements and allergies are optional. If you add them, they are shared with the couple so their caterer can prepare safe food, and they are deleted with the rest of the wedding.

Your reply is visible only to the couple and the people they invite to help run the wedding. It is used for that wedding and nothing else. We never contact guests for marketing.

To correct or remove your details, ask the couple, or email walimahafrah@askqa.app with the name on the invitation.

Why we use it

  • To show your wedding page and personal invitations.
  • To record RSVPs and show the couple who is coming.
  • To keep your account signed in and secure.
  • To answer support requests.

Who can see it

  • Public wedding page: anyone with the link can see what the couple publishes (names, events, venues). It is only online while the wedding is Published or Completed.
  • Personal invitation links: anyone holding a household's link can open that invitation and its RSVP. Share each link only with that household.
  • Guest list and replies: only the host and their wedding team.

Services we rely on

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the database and uploaded files.
  • OpenAI reads an uploaded wedding card to fill in details, and powers the optional Wedding AI assistant. Only the card image or the text you type to the assistant is sent. Your guest list is not sent.
  • WhatsApp opens on your own phone when you share an invitation. We do not send messages on your behalf.

Cookies

We use one sign-in cookie so hosts stay logged in. Guests do not need an account. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep wedding data while the host's account is open. Archiving a wedding hides it from guests straight away and can be undone. Hosts can delete a wedding permanently in its Settings (it is removed after a 7-day window to change your mind), download all their data, and delete their whole account in Account settings — that takes effect immediately.

Guests, or hosts who can't sign in, can email walimahafrah@askqa.app and we will delete the data within 30 days.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
