Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions cover using Walimah Afrah, run by ASKQA. By creating a host account, joining a wedding team or replying to an invitation, you agree to them.

1. What Walimah Afrah does

Walimah Afrah helps hosts create a wedding page, send personal invitation links to each household, and collect replies for every event. We provide the tool. Each wedding, its guest list and its events belong to the host who created them.

2. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to create a host account.
  • Give a real email address so we can reach you about your account.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account and for anyone you add to your wedding team.
  • Tell us straight away at the support email below if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Co-hosts

The owner of a wedding can invite co-hosts. Co-hosts can see and edit the wedding, its guests and replies. Only the owner can delete the wedding or change the team. The owner is responsible for who they invite.

4. Your guests' details

When you add guests, you confirm they would expect to hear from you about your wedding and that you may share their name, phone number or email with us for that purpose. Use guest details only for your wedding. See how we handle guest details.

5. If you are a guest

  • You can reply without creating an account.
  • Your reply goes to the couple and the people helping them plan. They decide who is invited, how many seats each household has and when replies close.
  • Your invitation link is personal. Anyone who has the link can open it, so please do not forward it.

6. Your content

Wording, photos and card designs you upload stay yours. You give us permission to store and display them only to run your wedding page and invitations. Upload only content you have the right to use.

7. Rules

Everyone using Walimah Afrah must follow our Rules. In short: real weddings only, no spam, no unlawful or hateful content, and no trying to open weddings or accounts that are not yours.

8. Wedding AI

AI suggestions and details read from a card can be wrong. Check names, dates, times and addresses before you publish or send. You are responsible for what you publish.

9. WhatsApp and messages

When you send an invitation by WhatsApp, the message opens on your own phone and is sent from your own WhatsApp account. You are responsible for those messages and for following WhatsApp's own terms.

10. Price and payment

  • Walimah Afrah is free while we are in pilot. No card is needed and nothing is charged automatically.
  • Before any paid plan starts, the price will be shown on the Pricing page and hosts already using the service will be told by email.
  • You will never be moved to a paid plan without choosing it yourself.

11. Suspending or removing content

If a wedding page, message or account breaks these terms or the Rules, we may ask you to fix it, unpublish the page, turn off invitation links or suspend the account. Where we can, we will tell you why first. We may act straight away for spam, unlawful content or a risk to someone's safety or privacy.

12. The service

We work to keep Walimah Afrah available and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, such as your final guest list (use the downloads on the Replies page). To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from using it, such as a guest not receiving or opening an invitation.

13. Ending your account

You can stop using Walimah Afrah at any time. You can download your data and delete your account from the Account page, or ask us to delete it, as described on the Privacy page.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When they change, the date at the top changes with it. For important changes we will tell hosts by email before they apply.
